KUSI San Diego news photographer Taylor Schuss got bombed by a DC-10 tanker that was being used to fight the wildfires near San Marcos, CA.

According to KUSI, the wildfire has burned over 1,200 acres in San Diego County, and remains only 5 percent contained at this time. Cal Fire says the fire broke out on Wednesday afternoon, and the cause has not been determined, but the Sheriff's Office is evaluating all possibilities, including arson.

The Marine base at Camp Pendleton has offered the use of 22 helicopters, including 12 to fight the blaze. This is the ninth significant wildfire in the area this week.
